Back when you still gained profit from troll farming, unlike now where they drop nothing.

I remember when buying 15k armor was a big deal, and those who had FoW were gods.

Well, they generally had no life, were very good at the game, or bought ingame money, or extremely lucky with all the gold and ecto.

I remember when I had like all the celestial sigils (a few others did too), the traders never had stock and I used to charge people 100k each plus their bags and armor :P This was before ANET made an update to stock traders with sigils and the prices dropped to 80k but then you would win 3 LOL.

heh heh heh *belly laugh*

I remember when I did a droks to beacon's perch run with henchies (long before there were heroes) starting at level 5 and coming out level 9. Grenth's temple was a godsend. It took 6 hours. I hate wurms. I had a thread with pics here or on TGH somewhere. Kiting and hard res FTW

I think that was me? I remember and still do stuff like that in all the low missions infact I killed all the charr in the quest where you have to run for the all. There is a chest back there. I also remember when runes were the only upgread item.

I remember when people were actually polite to monks. I used to love to play as a monk... no one questioned my build, they complimented me if they didn't die, and they wouldn't throw a fit if they did die (res them and move on). Being a monk and standing in the backline (which many considered boring) and healing was appreciated.

Now people are abusive and arrogant. "You're not using [insert flavor of the month build]. You suck!" I haven't played my monk in a year.

So long ago it seems, here are my memories back in the day,

getting ambushed by Ettins and malleted badly by em the first time i entered Nebo Terrace, i was like wtf sh!t ...
finding the frozen chest and the lost strongbox whilst fighting our way to Droks just for shits and giggles.
Superior Absorption 60k +
Superior Vigor 35k +from the aforementioned Ettins after i got over the first shock lol
Having to cap Elite skills whilst they were in use,
Beating the Doppleganger and thinking you were Joe cool only to find out you had get to Copperhammer mines for the last 15 attibutes and then getting totally wiped repeatedly, and getting there with a -60 dp
THK when it was the hardest mission ever.
Farming Sorrows with the gear trick,
Brohns Staff 80k +
Rockmolder (pre nerf) 100k

I could go on , but too many too list, they were the best times i think in GW, everything was new and pugging wasnt full of the leetness, cos noone knew any better...!

I remember when it was normal for me to have 3 atributes in Swordmanship, 4 in Axe Mastery and 6 in Hammer Mastery. Weapon switching FTW!
I also remember when i thought that i should rather save money for 15k armor set than i should buy Drok's max armor. THK was leet mision. You could get rich by selling Alteah's Ashes. Exploring regions of Crystal Desert with my friend and finding a gold sword drop for him was actualy something that turns on. Having a ranger in guild that had 15k Druid's Armor and 3 ectos made him wisest of the many. And then green drops came out and ruined the game. I don't want green weapons in Guild Wars 2.
